Privacy Policy
A plain-language summary of what we collect and how it's used. Last updated April 25, 2026.
We don't sell your data. We don't share it. We collect only what we need to reply to you and run the site. Reach out by phone or text for anything related to your information.
Five Alarm Fishing ("we," "us") runs this website at 5alarmfishing.com and takes bookings for guided fishing charters on Lake Whitney and Lake Aquilla in North Texas. This page explains what information we collect when you visit the site or get in touch, and what we do with it.
What We Collect
When you fill out our contact form: your name, email address, phone number, the type of trip you're interested in, group size, preferred date, and any message you send us. We use this only to reply to your inquiry and book your trip.
When you call or text: we keep a record of your number and conversation history so we know who's booked and who we've talked to. That's it.
When you visit the site: we use basic web analytics (currently PostHog) to understand which pages people visit and how long they stay. This helps us know what's working and what isn't. The data is aggregated and not tied to your identity unless you've already given us your contact information.
What We Don't Do
- We don't sell your information to anyone.
- We don't share it with marketing partners.
- We don't email you unsolicited offers — David runs trips, not a mailing list.
Cookies & Analytics
The site uses standard cookies and analytics scripts to keep things running and to measure traffic. You can disable cookies in your browser settings — the site will still work, you just won't see preferences saved between visits.
Third-Party Services
We use a small set of third-party services to run the site: Cloudflare (hosting and security), PostHog (analytics), and an email/SMS provider for booking confirmations. Each of these has its own privacy practices — none of them get more data than they need to do their job for us.
Your Choices
If you've contacted us and you'd like your information removed from our records, just reach out by phone or text and we'll handle it. We don't currently have an automated form for this — but given the size of our operation, a quick text gets it done faster anyway.
Contact
For any privacy-related question, call or text David at (940) 230-5659. We don't take privacy questions by email.
Updates
We may update this policy as the site grows. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent change.
